Diane is an avid animal lover which becomes clear when looking at much of her work. 
She runs a hobby farm with alpacas, whose fibre she collects and spins by hand into luxurious yarn. 
Diane grew up in Toronto, Ontario but moved to Nova Scotia in 1990 - which she has since called home.  She resides in a rural area of the province near Truro with her
husband and various animals.
Also Diane was a Canadian Kennel Club registered breeder of miniature dachshunds, and is co-founder and President of Atlantic Canadian Dachshund Rescue, as well as being Rehoming Coordinator for ElderDog in the Truro area 
Diane is a member of Visual Artists of Nova Scotia, The Truro
Art Society, and was a past juried member of The Nova Scotia
Design and Crafts Council for her work with exotic fibre.

   two decades of experience working with Deaf youth.

Diane is a self taught artist who enjoys taking ordinary things around her and transforming them into something new and unique.  She takes pleasure in bringing peoples' attention to the ordinary and insignificant beauty around us,  as well as giving older "past loved" items
 a new life.
